About The Narrator:

Anthony (Tony) Christopher Grace is a lifelong resident of Idaho, born in Coeur d'Alene and raised in Post Falls. Diagnosed with epilepsy at just 16 months old, Tony faced numerous challenges from a young age. Despite the difficulty in controlling his seizures, which necessitated special and often private schooling, Tony remained active in his community, participating in Boy Scouts until age 18 and pursuing a hobby as a remote control airplane pilot. At 18, he was granted full disability.

In his early twenties, Tony achieved a significant milestone when his seizures were controlled well enough for him to drive, work, and live independently. However, his capacity for physical work remained limited due to the side effects of his medication, leading him through various jobs from movie theaters to grocery and liquor stores. One side effect—kidney stones—prompted a search for alternative medications. Although a new treatment initially reduced the kidney stones, his seizures returned, culminating in a severe incident where Tony lost control of his car during a grand mal seizure, resulting in the revocation of his driving privileges.

Throughout these trials, Tony maintained a positive outlook and an active, inquisitive mind, always exploring new possibilities. His venture into entrepreneurship began with a triple-head gum-ball machine, followed by a mini claw vending machine, which he managed until the closure of his location made continuing the business untenable.

Recently, Tony discovered a new passion—voice acting. With initial curiosity evolving into genuine enthusiasm through several successful lessons, Tony is now eagerly developing his voice acting skills. This new endeavor is not only a testament to his resilience but also aligns with The Veterans Club's Narrated By initiative, which aims to empower individuals facing life challenges to make a positive impact on the visually impaired community. Voice acting has significantly brightened Tony's outlook on life, offering him not just a creative outlet but also the potential for a new income-generating skill. As his parent, it is immensely fulfilling to see Tony embrace this opportunity and thrive in a role that enhances his confidence and independence.
