A Heart for Service: Thank You to 208 Companies and Dave Miller
Written/Narrated by: Ed Bejarana | Published on: August 20, 2025
Every once in a while, a business steps up in such a meaningful way that it becomes more than just a sponsor—it becomes part of the mission. This month, that honor goes to 208 Companies and the incredible support of Dave Miller, their Community Engagement & Business Development lead.
Dave has been with us since the beginning—literally. When The Veterans Club first formed back in December 2023, Dave was already asking how he could help. He didn’t wear a uniform, but his heart beats with the same purpose as those who did: serve others, build community, and make a difference.
That’s why we’re thrilled to recognize 208 Companies as the sponsor of our upcoming Sierra Silver Mine Tour. When the tour company offered our group special pricing, 208 Companies stepped in and said, “Let us cover the rest.” Thanks to them, our veterans and first responders will enjoy a meaningful outing, filled with connection, history, and shared memories—without the burden of cost.
For those unfamiliar, The Veterans Club hosts local tours each month to spark new friendships and strengthen bonds. These aren’t just field trips—they’re an important part of our suicide prevention strategy. We believe the best way to fight loneliness and despair is with community and connection.
