There are moments when a community has the opportunity to show what it is truly made of.

On Tuesday, July 28, friends, neighbors, veterans, first responders, and members of the greater North Idaho community will come together at Q’emiln Park in Post Falls to support Nancy Blanchard and her family as Nancy continues her battle with cancer.

The Community Fundraiser for Nancy Blanchard will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Q’emiln Park Grand Pavilion and promises to be an evening filled with live music, good food, fellowship, and, most importantly, people coming together to help one of our own.

Nancy and her husband, Dan Blanchard, are part of The Veterans Club family. When someone in our community faces a difficult road, we believe there is tremendous power in simply showing up. We may not be able to take away the challenges a family is facing, but we can stand beside them, offer our support, and remind them that they do not have to face those challenges alone.

That is exactly what July 28 is all about.

An Evening of Music, Food, and Community

The evening will feature live entertainment from the Kelly Hughes Band, bringing great music to what we hope will be a beautiful North Idaho summer evening.

Food will be available for purchase from Bunker Bar, along with beer and wine, and guests will have an opportunity to participate in a silent auction featuring a variety of donated items.

The event is being hosted by Neighbors Helping Neighbors Benefit Events, bringing the community together for an evening that combines fun and fellowship with a very important purpose.

The Veterans Club is also proud to support this effort. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are assisting the program by collecting donations on behalf of Dan and Nancy Blanchard. Our role is simply to make it easier for friends, family, and members of the community to lend a helping hand during a difficult season of life.

But this fundraiser is about more than raising money.

It is about showing up.

It is about filling the pavilion with friends, neighbors, and perhaps even people Nancy and Dan have never met, all gathered for the same reason: to let a local family know their community is standing with them.

The Strength of Community

At The Veterans Club, we talk often about the importance of connection and belonging. We see every week what happens when people gather around a table, share a cup of coffee, enjoy a meal, or simply spend time together.

Community matters during the good times, but its importance becomes even clearer when life becomes difficult.

This is one of those times when each of us has an opportunity to put that belief into action.

You can come enjoy the music. You can grab something to eat. You can participate in the silent auction. You can make a financial contribution.

Or you can simply come and be part of the crowd that says, through its presence, “Nancy, we’re with you.”

Sometimes showing up is one of the most meaningful things we can do.

Join Us July 28

Please join us on Tuesday, July 28, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Q’emiln Park Grand Pavilion in Post Falls for the Community Fundraiser for Nancy Blanchard.

Bring your family. Invite your friends. Come hungry, enjoy some great music from the Kelly Hughes Band, and spend an evening surrounded by people who believe in helping their neighbors when help is needed most.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to support Dan and Nancy, The Veterans Club is accepting donations on their behalf as part of this community effort.

Together, we can make July 28 an evening Nancy, Dan, and their family will remember—not because of the challenges they are facing, but because of the community that chose to stand beside them.

Come for the music. Come for the fellowship. Come to support Nancy.

We hope to see you there.
