At the heart of the memorial stands the impressive 44-foot-tall Overlord Arch, named for Operation Overlord—the Allied forces’ monumental invasion that became a turning point of World War II. Surrounding this towering structure are vivid, life-sized bronze sculptures portraying soldiers in moments of valor, struggle, and sacrifice on the Normandy beaches.
