FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Athol, ID — The Veterans Club recently hosted a second highly successful Range Day at Farragut Shooting Range on October 17 2024, bringing together 10 veterans and first responders for a day of camaraderie and friendly competition. The Farragut Public Range is gem of a shooting facility, located on the old training gun range active during WWII.
Participants enjoyed time on the pistol range, swapping stories, and testing their marksmanship to see who could claim the title of the best shot.
“We all had a blast!”, said organizer John Spencer who serves as a range safety officer at Farragut Shooting Range and a member of The Veterans Club. “These events build relationships among veterans.” Additionally, there is vast amount of firearm ‘learning’ that is transferred at the range. Each of our vets and first responders come with a depth of knowledge and willing to share. Quite enjoyable and a learning opportunity for all participants.
A special ‘Thank You’ to Idaho Fish and Game for their cooperation and use of the range. A special thanks also goes to our volunteer RSOs (Range Safety Officers) who assisted in insuring a safe outing.
