The Veterans Club Launches Children’s Literacy Program to Instill a Love for Reading in Youth, Led by Veterans and First Responders
Coeur d’Alene, ID – The Veterans Club is excited to announce the launch of its Children’s Literacy Program, a unique initiative designed to instill a love for reading in young minds while involving veterans and retired first responders in a program that impacts the community in a meaningful way.
This innovative program invites children to participate in a wholesome reading experience, guided by patriotic Americans who have served our country. By training children to read audiobooks for the visually impaired, the program not only fosters literacy but also encourages a sense of purpose. The focus is on helping children develop a love for reading by directing their attention to an external good—creating audiobooks that enrich the lives of those who cannot easily read for themselves.
“We’re proud to offer a program that not only enhances children’s literacy skills but also shows them the impact they can have on others,” said Ed Bejarana, founder of The Veterans Club. “This initiative brings together veterans and retired first responders to share their passion for reading and storytelling with the next generation.”
The Veterans Club’s Children’s Literacy Program emphasizes how reading can connect people across generations and walks of life, with a focus on service to others. By involving veterans and first responders as mentors, children are given the opportunity to learn from those who have dedicated their lives to protecting and serving the community, while developing important literacy skills.
Enrollment for this exciting new program is limited, and parents are encouraged to sign up soon. To enroll your child, please contact Ed Bejarana at info@theveteransclub.org. With only a few spots available, now is the perfect time to give your child the opportunity to grow a love for reading while making a positive difference in the lives of others.
