What If Getting Involved Meant Doing What You Already Love?
Written/Narrated by: Ed Bejarana | Published on: September 4, 2025
You don’t have to change your life—just share it.
Let’s face it: nobody wants another item on their to-do list. If you’re like most veterans and first responders, you already give plenty—at work, at home, and in your community. So when someone says, “Get involved,” it can sound like a demand to do more or be someone else. But what if getting involved meant doing exactly what you already love—just doing it with others?
That’s the idea behind The Veterans Club.
Your Passion, Our Platform
Whether you’re into fishing, photography, motorcycles, coffee roasting, amateur radio, woodworking, hiking, book clubs, volunteering, or simply sitting around telling old war stories—we want you to bring that passion to the table.
The Veterans Club exists to give structure, support, and resources to help you turn your interest into a meaningful group experience. We’re not asking you to invent a new hobby—we’re asking if you’d be willing to share the thing that already brings you joy.
Here’s what we provide:
✅ Insurance Coverage
No need to worry about legal exposure. Your group activities are covered under The Veterans Club’s 501(c)(3) policy.
✅ Organizational Support
We help you with scheduling, logistics, and event management so you can focus on doing the thing you love—not planning and paperwork.
✅ Marketing & Promotion
We’ll help you get the word out through social media, newsletters, and community outreach. Whether you want to host a small group of five or grow something bigger, we’ve got your back.
✅ Funding Assistance
Need gear, venue space, or materials? We can help you write mini-grants, partner with sponsors, and access club funds to make your vision a reality.
Real Connection Comes Through Real Life
Too often, veterans and first responders feel isolated. Many of us learned to compartmentalize our pain and push through tough times alone. But that’s not sustainable—and it’s not healthy.
The secret to healing isn’t always found in therapy or a self-help book (though those are great). Sometimes it’s found while working on a motorcycle next to a buddy, or casting a line into the water with someone who gets you.
We believe connection is the antidote to despair. And we believe that you can be that connection for someone else—without changing a single thing about who you are.
Have an Idea? Let’s Make It Happen.
You don’t need permission. You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to care about something and be willing to invite others in.
We’re looking for veterans, active duty, retired first responders, and military family members who are ready to say:
“Hey, I’m going to go do this thing I love. Anyone want to come along?”
If that’s you, let’s talk. We’ll help you shape the idea, find others who are interested, and build something that could make a real difference.
