You’re Not Too Young, Too Busy, or Too Broken
Written/Narrated by: Ed Bejarana | Published on: November 1, 2025
You’ve already earned your place—just by serving.
We hear it all the time:
“I’m too young.”
“I’m too busy.”
“I don’t really fit in anymore.”
“I’ve got too much going on.”
“I’m not ready to be around people yet.”
Every veteran and first responder has said something like this at least once. We convince ourselves that everyone else has it more together—that we’re somehow different from the people who show up at veteran events. But here’s the truth: you belong here just as you are.
The Myths We Tell Ourselves
- Too Young: Whether you served two years ago or twenty, service shapes you. The uniform doesn’t come with an expiration date. Your perspective and energy are exactly what our community needs.
- Too Busy: We get it. Life after service is full—jobs, families, responsibilities. That’s why The Veterans Club makes it simple. Come for a cup of coffee, a laugh, or a handshake. No time commitment required—just connection when you can.
- Too Broken: This is the hardest one. Maybe you’re fighting battles no one sees. But that’s exactly why The Veterans Club exists. You don’t have to be “fixed” to show up. You just have to be you.
We Don’t Need You to Lead—We Just Need You to Be Here
Our gatherings aren’t about speeches or structure. They’re about community. A place where you can breathe, laugh, and remember that you’re not alone in this journey. The guy across the table? He’s been where you are. The woman next to you? She’s fought her own battles too.
At The Veterans Club, you don’t need to prove anything. You don’t need to explain. You just need to show up—and let the camaraderie do the rest.
You’ve Already Earned Your Seat
If you served, you’re already one of us. No paperwork, no dues, no qualifications beyond that. Whether you’re looking for purpose, friendship, or just a few minutes of peace—your place is waiting.
