Where veterans and first responders connect.

🌮 Community Connections — Weekly Roundup

Last week, our monthly Operation Taco Bravo brought seven folks together at De Leon’s for great Mexican food and even better conversation.

Our regular gatherings continue strong:

  • Monday Breakfast Group meets every Monday at 0700 at Elmer’s off Apple Way
  • 📖 Karen’s Bible Study Group meets every Thursday in the Mica area

Next week is our monthly dinner gathering, and there are plenty of other great events coming up. Be sure to check the full calendar and make plans to join us:

Connection happens when we show up—and there’s always a seat at the table.

🎯 Uzi Raffle Complete — Mission Moving Forward

The Uzi raffle has officially concluded, and we’re happy to report that a lucky winner has been united with his new firearm. Proceeds from this raffle directly support The Veterans Club’s overall mission—helping cover essential costs like business cards, flyers, website hosting, and the day-to-day expenses that allow us to expand our reach and strengthen connection among veterans and first responders.

That momentum is showing results. A prospective new chapter is forming in Bayfield, Wisconsin with early chapter discussions also underway in North Carolina and Texas.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped move the mission forward. Every effort—big or small—helps us build something that lasts.

Friday Night on the Mat 🏆

Thirteen of us packed into the stands Friday night to cheer on North Idaho College Wrestling, and the Cardinals did not disappoint—blasting through Big Bend Community College with authority. The energy was high, the takedowns were clean, and the crowd stayed loud from start to finish.

One of our first responders brought his wife and two young sons—both boys were glued to the action and already talking about getting into wrestling someday. That’s what these nights are about: great competition, shared moments, and planting seeds for the next generation.

📍 Interested in Starting or Joining a Local Chapter?

Are you interested in helping launch a new Veterans Club chapter in your area? We’d love to hear from you.

Discussions are currently underway for potential new chapters in Rathdrum and Athol. If you’re interested in participating in either location, please email info@theveteransclub.org. We’ll add you to the contact list so you’re among the first to know when meetings are scheduled.

If you’re outside these areas but feel called to start a chapter where you live, reach out as well. The mission grows one community at a time.
