Building Bonds that Save Lives

This past Friday, we held our April Veterans Club Dinner Gathering at The Bunker Bar — and what an amazing night it was. We packed the room with 24 veterans, first responders, and their families, filling every seat and then some. The energy in the room was incredible — the laughter, the heartfelt conversations, and the simple joy of breaking bread together reminded me again why these gatherings are so important.

From my personal perspective, these dinners aren’t just about a good meal or a night out (though the food was outstanding). They’re about creating and strengthening the kind of relationships that save lives. Every handshake, every shared story, every smile across the table chips away at the isolation that too many of our brothers and sisters feel after service. Community is the medicine, and events like this are the prescription.

We’ve seen it time and again — the friendships formed at these dinners grow into lifelines. Veterans and first responders finding others who understand, who care, and who are there when the hard days come. It’s about being seen, heard, and valued — and I truly believe gatherings like ours are part of what turns struggle into strength.

Because we filled the Bunker Bar to overflowing, we’re on the hunt for a larger venue for next month. Mark your calendars: the next Veterans Club Dinner Gathering will be Friday, May 30, 2025. Location to be announced soon — we’re looking for a space that can welcome even more of you to the table.
