New Activities on the Horizon for The Veterans Club
Written/Narrated by: Ed Bejarana | Published on: February 14, 2026
At The Veterans Club, we believe something simple and powerful: connection saves lives.
When veterans and first responders gather regularly—around a table, on a golf course, at a ballgame, or on a boat—something happens. Stories are shared. Laughter returns. New friendships form. And the weight many carry alone becomes lighter.
This year, we’re expanding our calendar with even more ways to gather, connect, and build strong and lasting relationships.
⛳ Golf Days
There’s something about walking a course together that opens up conversation. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just there for the fellowship, Golf Days will offer relaxed, low-pressure time to connect outside the usual meeting space.
🎮 Retro Video Game Nights
Yes—dust off those old skills. From classic arcade cabinets to console throwbacks, our Retro Video Game group is about friendly competition and shared nostalgia. It’s not about winning—it’s about laughing together and reliving simpler times.
♠️ Card & Family Board Game Nights
These gatherings are designed to bring families into the fold. Spouses, kids, and guests are welcome. Whether it’s cards, strategy games, or old-school board games, these evenings are about strengthening relationships at home and within our broader community.
🚤 Family Cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene
Few places capture North Idaho’s beauty like Lake Coeur d’Alene. A family cruise offers fresh air, scenic views, and shared memories that last long after the boat docks.
🎢 Fun Day at Silverwood
A day at Silverwood Theme Park means roller coasters, laughter, and a chance to be a kid again—whether you’re 8 or 68. These events are about joy. Pure and simple.
🎬 Movie Nights & 🎶 Concert Outings
From outdoor movie nights to local concerts, we’re creating more relaxed social spaces where members can invite friends and simply enjoy being together.
🇺🇸 4th of July Parade
Community pride runs deep in North Idaho. Participating together in a local Independence Day parade is more than an event—it’s a visible reminder that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.
🍔 And Of Course… More Food Events
If you’ve been to Operation Taco Bravo, Wingman, Sushi Roll, or our monthly dinners, you already know: food has a way of bringing people together. Expect more opportunities to gather around a table and share stories.
Why All of This Matters
The Veterans Club exists for veterans and first responders—especially those who served in roles where personal life safety was at risk. We are building environments where honest conversations can happen, where camaraderie is natural, and where isolation loses its grip.
Suicide prevention doesn’t start with a hotline.
It starts with a handshake.
With a shared laugh.
With someone saying, “I’ll see you next week.”
Together, we can take a bite out of suicide.
Stay Connected
New events are being added regularly.
👉 Watch our Events Page for updates.

👉 Show up—even if you’re not sure you feel like it.
You never know who needs to see you there.
The uniform may come off.
But we’re still on watch—together.
