Tour of Alien Gear Holsters

Eleven members of The Veterans Club descended on Alien Gear in Post Falls, Idaho like men storming the beaches of Grenada! Organized by John Spencer, a wonderful young woman took time to guide us through a tour of the VERY large holster manufacturing facility.
Alien Gear Holsters, founded in 2013 by Thomas Tedder, is a prominent American manufacturer specializing in concealed carry holsters. Dissatisfied with existing holster options, Tedder began crafting his own designs in his kitchen, eventually moving operations to his shed as demand grew. The company initially operated in Arkansas before relocating to Hayden, Idaho, in 2013, and subsequently to Post Falls, Idaho, in 2016.
In Post Falls, Alien Gear Holsters expanded its product line to include over 70,000 SKUs, encompassing concealed carry holsters, open carry holsters, tactical holsters, car holster mounts, and various accessories. The company employs approximately 200 people and operates a 75,000 square-foot facility at 4411 W. Riverbend Ave., a space that previously housed the Post Falls Factory Outlet stores.
Alien Gear Holsters is renowned for its innovative designs, particularly hybrid holsters that combine a hard plastic retention shell with a durable backing material like leather. The company has introduced several notable products, including the Cloak Tuck series and the ShapeShift Modular Holster System, which allows users to customize their holsters for various carry configurations.
The company’s commitment to quality and innovation has earned it recognition in the industry, including the “Best Holster in the History of Ever” award from Concealed Nation.
Beyond its impressive products, Alien Gear Holsters exemplifies the kind of American ingenuity and work ethic that The Veterans Club deeply appreciates. Companies like Alien Gear provide not only quality products but also solid employment opportunities, many of which go to veterans transitioning into civilian careers. Supporting businesses that contribute to the community while honoring our nation’s service members is something The Veterans Club proudly stands behind.
A big thank you goes out to Alien Gear for taking the time to show a bunch of vets around the facility! Your hospitality and commitment to craftsmanship are greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing continued success from this outstanding Idaho-based company!
