Operation Sushi Roll

Because Friendship Rolls Best Over Lunch.

Overview

Operation Sushi Roll is The Veterans Club’s monthly lunch gathering where veterans and first responders come together to share a meal, swap stories, and enjoy a relaxed break in the middle of the day.

It’s low-pressure and high-connection — no big agenda, just fellowship over chopsticks. Each month we visit a different sushi restaurant in Kootenai County, supporting local businesses while strengthening our bonds as a community.

How to Join

Most sushi restaurants have limited seating. Seating is first come, first serve.
If you communicate with Ed ahead of time, he’ll do his best to save you a spot.  Otherwise, just show up — we’ll gather tables, shift chairs, and do our best to take over the entire restaurant.

Why It Matters

Not every connection has to be formal. Sometimes a simple lunch is enough to remind someone they’re seen, valued, and still part of the team. Operation Sushi Roll helps keep veterans and first responders plugged in — especially those who can’t always make evening events.
