Community Partnership BBQ 2026

A Day to Connect with Those Who Serve
Join the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and our local first responder community for a day that brings people together in the best way possible—good food, hands-on experiences, and real conversations.
This isn’t just an event to attend. It’s an opportunity to meet the men and women who serve our community every day, to see what they do up close, and to build the kind of connections that make a community stronger.
Whether you’re bringing your family, inviting a friend, or just stopping by for a while, you’ll find something here worth your time.
What to Expect
Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to explore, learn, and engage with a wide range of first responder teams and equipment:
- Free BBQ for attendees
- K9 demonstrations
- SWAT response vehicle on display
- Marine boats and water units
- Drone team demonstrations
- CPR demonstrations
- Jaws of Life demonstration
- Meet your local fire and rescue teams
- Hands-on look at first responder equipment
- Vendor fair and community booths
- Interactive “Combat Challenge”
Built for Families. Designed for the Community.
This event is designed to be approachable and engaging for all ages. Kids can explore the vehicles, watch demonstrations, and interact with first responders in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Adults can ask questions, learn more about local services, and connect with the people behind the badge.
It’s a rare chance to step into their world—without the urgency—and simply get to know one another.
