Women Veterans Day Celebration

June 13 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

There’s something powerful about being in a room where shared experience doesn’t have to be explained.

On Saturday, June 13th, women who have worn the uniform—past and present—will gather in Spokane for the fourth annual Women Veterans Day. This event is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a moment to recognize, honor, and celebrate the legacy of women who stepped forward to serve, often without recognition, and sometimes without being fully seen.

Women Veterans Day commemorates the signing of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act of 1948—the moment when women were granted the right to serve permanently in the regular armed forces. But this gathering isn’t just about history. It’s about presence. It’s about connection. It’s about finally giving space to stories that deserve to be heard.

This year’s theme says it clearly:
“Women Who Served Our Country Are The Veterans You Didn’t See—Until Now.”

The afternoon begins with a vendor fair at 12:30 PM, followed by the main program from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Expect a welcoming environment, meaningful conversations, and a sense of shared understanding that only comes from those who’ve walked a similar path.

Whether you served on active duty, in the reserves, or the National Guard—this event is for you.

And if you know someone who should be there… bring her.

Bring a Veteran Sister with you.
