From the Board Meeting — October 2026

The Veterans Club Board of Directors met recently and advanced several practical updates that strengthen how we operate and support our growing chapters.
The Board approved amendments to the Bylaws. These expand the Board size to include the Immediate Past President, adjust term limits for officers and term lengths for Board members, and establish a clear voting rule in the event of a tie. The changes support continuity, fresh leadership, and straightforward decision-making as the organization continues to grow.
Chapter reports from Hayden, Coeur d’Alene, and Post Falls confirmed that local groups remain healthy and active. The Sandpoint chapter has completed its required training and will hold its inaugural gathering on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Sandpoint Elks Lodge #1376 / Golf Course, 30196 Highway 200, Ponderay, ID 83852-9701. All veterans and first responders are welcome; Elks membership is not required. Friends are encouraged to come along.
Ian Cosby completed Facilitator training with flying colors. The Board also adjusted chapter leadership so that the Chapter Manager is now the primary contact for all chapter communications.
Global Credit Union has offered free use of its community meeting space. Going forward, Board meetings will be held the third Wednesday of each month from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Global Credit Union, 320 E Neider Ave, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815. All members of The Veterans Club are welcome to attend.
The 2nd Annual Christmas Party & Installation Dinner is set for Thursday, December 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The American Legion Post 143, 1138 E Poleline Ave, Post Falls. Tickets are $30 per person. The price was set with the clear intent of keeping the event affordable for all.
Karen brought tasty brownies. Ed Bejarana later remarked that it was the best meeting he had attended since founding the organization.
Connection. Purpose. Belonging. Still serving—together.
